Arenas of Nimes with 20mn : They were built between 50 a. J. - C. and 100 a. J. - C., on the model of Roman Colisée. The arenas had a capacity of 25,000 spectators divided into four zones and thirty-four platforms. The amphitheater is 133 meters long for 101 meters broad and 21 meters in height; the main roads of the arena measure 69 meters for 38 meters of small axis. Amphitheaters of which there remain still ruins (Pouzzoles, Colisée of Rome, Capoue, Vérone, Pola, Arles, Pompéi, El-Djem, Tarragone…). That of Nimes is best preserved.
