Les Cévennes dès 35km : The Cevennes (Cevenas, Cevena in langue d'oc) form a mountainous chain belonging to the Massif Central, with horse on the French departments of Lozere and Gard, prolonging in the south the mounts of Vivarais located in Ardeche and Haute-Loire, and at north the mounts of Lacaune and of Espinouse located partly in the department of Herault.
The denomination generally includes part of the southernmost plain to the south-eastern buttresses and in particular the basin alésien.
